My Xcode 4.3.3 doesn't have a Contents/Resources/Documents folder, and it would surprise me to find documentation there.

I find 143 MB of Lion documentation in Contents/Developer/Documentation/DocSets. It has an old version number, so I assume it's a stub (mostly Web references) that came with Xcode.

My current-version copy of the Lion docset is in ~/Library/Developer/Shared/Documentation/… as you say. I found the path by opening the Preferences window, Downloads panel, Documentation tab, selecting the 10.7 library, and clicking on the [^] button at the lower-left corner. That exposed a description of the docset.

It should have been downloaded automatically. In the list of docsets I just described, does the Lion library show itself as installed, or is there an Install button? If there's a button, click it. If not, try clicking the Check and Install Now button.
