Did you do the obvious ... drag /Applications/Xcode.app to trash (Empty), reboot and try again? ... and also remove any and all copies of any version of Xcode on your computer?
... it "just worked" here. Infact, Xcode seems to "just work" on a dozen projects or so and a million or so lines of code here. I am starting to wonder what is up ... is my luck going to run out one of these days?
