This has gone on for weeks. It's gotten old.
4.2 doesn't work for you. Maybe there's a reason Apple has issued three versions of Xcode since then. Maybe releasing three versions of Xcode qualifies Apple to say it has done something about the things you're complaining didn't work three versions ago.
If your attachment to Snow Leopard trumps your need to develop for current platforms with more-stable versions of the tools you need for your profession, you should consider whether you're really that into software development. I used C++ for 16 years. I didn't like it, but I had no choice if I was to pursue my chosen line of work. There was no point in complaining that it wasn't Borland Pascal.

BLAM!
Xcode craters.
Words failing me at the moment.
AND Snow Leopard is no longer supported for iOS development on current devices in an unannounced "upgrade" AND distributed compiling is removed from future versions.
Whomever is making the executive decisions on the Xcode team needs to have his priorities reset and his head examined. |
