Thanks Chris and Han for your replies.
Switching from lldb to gdb solves the crash, thanks.
Additional investigation shows the culprit to be LTO. In fact, turning off LTO also stops the lldb crash. I went back and checked with 4.3.1 and this crash is definitely a regression.
