Bugs, bugs ... there will always be bugs :) But ideas, ideas are fleeting. Best capture them in the moment. Sure, they may sit here for a bit - but once captured, they can be referred to in upcoming conversations. I'm sure Apple is adding new features all the time. Nice to have this thought down on paper (unless this is not the right group for said suggestion).
William, you may want to take a look at
Uncrustify. While not built on a learning algorithm, it can be explicitly configured to taste. In your example, each developer could experiment a bit and arrive at some settings they liked and then explicitly convert the project they are taking over.
I've not tried it - but here is a brief
Xcode integration walkthrough based on Apple Script. Understandably, Xcode native formatting may contradict some of your settings - but you may be able to strike a balance ... running the Uncrustify scripts as you code.
