On the first day, God made the email list. On the second day, God made the second email list. After this, all anyone ever did was bitch about cross-posting.

What's with the idiotic cross-posting that has been increasing, and why aren't the admins preventing it?

What if Xcode could learn how each user formats their source code w/regards to placement of braces, whitespace, and so on, and will help out as it learns (and will learn from the corrections, too), as well as help reformat a source code file imported into a project that was written by someone else (or even example code by Apple), and would auto-reformat it according to the learned information about that user. Maybe someone at Apple, in their infinite wisdom of all things Xcode could figure out how to get this to work, eh? :)
So, let's say we have three programmers, Bart, Homer, and Marge. Each has their own unique way they want their source code formatted. Bart starts a new iOS project in Xcode, works on it for 6 mos. or so, then has to stop work on it to take care of a bad illness. Marge takes over, and Xcode - having learned Marge's preferences for source code formatting, reformats the .h and .m files from Bart's project so it's nice and tidy according to Marge. Marge works on the project for a few months until she takes maternity leave, then her boss has Homer work on the project (and promise not to get too many doughnut crumbs in the keyboard!) Homer, also, has his install of Xcode nicely trained, and it reformats the source for Homer. Finally, Bart makes it back to work after a long illness, and the project is given back. His Xcode again reformats the source back to the way he likes it, and everyone comes away happy that they didn't have to fight over code formatting issues! They live happily ever after.
