10.7 SDK in Xcode 4.4 DP2 on 10.8

  • Thread-topic: 10.7 SDK in Xcode 4.4 DP2 on 10.8

I got my Mountain Lion DP2 machine set up today, with Xcode 4.4 DP2, and I'm having
a poke around to find out where things have moved to. I installed the command line
tools from the Xcode preferences Downloads pane, because that's how I work, for a
wide variety of reasons.

I can see I have /usr/bin/clang, and the default headers and libraries under /usr,
but when I went looking for the 10.7 SDK, I got a surprise. This SDK is important
for me: I need to be able to build some libraries backwards-compatible to 10.7.

I found the SDKs under:

/Volumes/Xcode/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk

and

/Volumes/Xcode/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.8.sdk

Are these likely to be canonical locations that I can use in build scripts? Has
/Volumes/Xcode/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer taken
the place of the old /Developer directory?

thanks,
