Does anyone know what contributes to the success or failure of variable value display within the Xcode Variable pane of the debugger?
I've read that if you use @synthesize, that variables will only display their memory location, and not their value.
Within a gdb debugger session, all my dicts or arrays will always list how many objects they have, but I can never see the values inside unless spitting them out with NSLog or po.
Even dwelling over the variables never seems to show values, when compared to the Apple documentation that indicates otherwise.
All I'll ever get is the list of objects in a dict like so:
> myDict
> NSObject
> isa
and on and on and on, but never the values.
What's the scoop with this?
