Interesting suggestion, but when I first started experiencing the problem (which was immediately after updating to 4.5.2), there was no mounted disk image: I had updated from the Mac App Store.
Since then, just in case, I *have* downloaded the disk image and installed from there, but it definitely isn't mounted. m.
