If you can access the apple dev forums, there's a message there which suggests it's a resource limitation and suggests also what to run to find out what's causing it, just search for posix_spawn. I think it happened to me too a couple of weeks ago and I probably just rebooted it.

Yeah, I decided that's what I have to do. Waiting for sync to finish.
