Ah, thanks for that - missed that. I just couldn't find a reference on how
to change the compiler for a project when I googled... I suppose it should
be obvious...
I returned all the usr/bin and /Developer/usr/bin symbolic links to the
default settings (GCC 4.2), and specified GCC 4.0 in the project build
settings. Works fine.
The debugging issue turns out to have been operator error. <oops> But thanks
for telling me how to change the GCC version.
