Making custom button graphics easier

  • Subject: Making custom button graphics easier

I just pulled some code and graphics from back when we were creating FiOS TV and much to my surprise, they both did not suck.

I once had custom GUI creation and reassembly for Xcode 3.1.3 and my recent headaches with the storyboard encouraged me to revisit the old working code.

Would anyone be interested in any of the following (at no cost of course)?

- Illustrator templates for decent iOS-ish button graphics.
- a little tool or some code that would let you make and export your own button backgrounds

The joy will be in porting my code from 1998 to something that's useful today.

If I have any time, as a "freedom form the things that piss me off" project, I'm going to try to take a subset of several old projects and try to create a more friendly (though obviously not as functional as what we have) screen layout based off of UIView and initially, a simple event model, without SIGABRTs if you happen to send an unimplemented message. Hopefully, that will be of use or interest to someone.
