Do I need to worry about this?
No, the paths you see are *settings*. Xcode will create folders and files at those locations when you build something that needs them. Is there a way to insure that new projects automatically have the default values?
Well, according to you, they do!
When you create a new project, the build path settings are determined by a combination of the preferences and the workspace settings ("File" menu) -- workspace taking precedence over preferences. Note that even if you create a project without putting it in a workspace, Xcode creates a workspace anyway, and squirrels the workspace file away inside the project bundle. |
