They certainly wouldn't frown upon it if you are able to repro these problems with the open source clang. It's easy to build clang yourself, and it's also easy to point Xcode to use it. I'd try that, then report the bug to <http://llvm.org/bugs/> which is a much nicer experience that Radar (to be polite).
