I'm interested in the presumably simple operation of zooming in and out of the storyboard under Xcode 4.6.3 (on Mac OS 10.8.4) and I am wondering how everyone else does this.
The shortcut for zooming out of the Storyboard in the Editor:Canvas:Zoom menu is this:
Though clearly enabled in the menu (and in the bindings panel), pressing these keys does nothing.
The graphic for shift is not displayed.
What does work is this:
⌥ ⇧ ⌘ {
That alone is strange, but what it does is put the operation in super slow zoom mode.
Sure, I can click on the magnifying glass, but I'd like a set of command keys that work. I just verified this on another Mac too. Is this how it works for everyone? Has anyone actually tested pressing these keys at Apple?
Also, when clicking on the magnifying glasses, the view animates zooming in or zooming out instead of displaying the contents I asked for instantly. Is there a way to zoom in or out of the storyboard instantly without watching the animation of the zoom out?
It seems really strange that the command keys for a common feature don't work as listed and then when they do work, it takes 3 seconds to perform a zoom.
Thanks in advance. |
