What about the File > New > Target menu command? That’s been there since at least Xcode 4.0. , but it doesn't allow me to name them independently of the project name -- it insists that the first target must be named identically to the project name. Can I get around that somehow? You can name targets anything you want. Once you’ve disclosed the target list, click on a target to make its name editable.
