Xcode prevents us from simply opening a new window that might be a debugger, that might be the stand alone console, that might be a storyboard.
In the name of mercy, please stop this. The guy had one specific question about managing tabs in Xcode. Let’s answer that, but not re-open the years-long scabbed-over chronic bitch thread about how we hate the Xcode 4 UI. Or I will finally unsubscribe from this list for real.
Face it: no one with the power to make changes in the Xcode UI reads this list, or cares what happens on it. Yes, there are some Xcode engineers here (if they don’t also unsubscribe due to this thread.) No, they don’t get to decide how the UI works. No, Apple’s UI designers don’t read technical mailing lists like this. No, Apple managers are not interested in hearing about what a bunch of whiny developers (their words, not mine) are complaining about this week. I’m sure there are ways of getting a message across, but bitching on mailing lists is not one of them.
