If I could, I would. It's not clear what triggers it.

It's possible I could learn this, but this step is still a bit more cumbersome than hitting tab once.

Doesn't work for me. Just beeps. Might be because I changed option-Tab to be my autocomplete. Don't get me started on the autocomplete key bindings behaviors. ;-)
