You must have gotten a different Sample Project, Michael. The data model file in the current TwoManyControllers.xcodeproj is named APLDocument.xcdatamodel.

AHHHHH! That was it. Yes, I'd forgotten about that stupid "Refresh Data Models" thing. (It's an item in menu > Editor whenever a .xcmappingmodel file is being edited.) Clicking that item "fixed" it.

I'm cautiously confident that Xcode 5 will have a net decrease in Core Data modeling bugs.
