I haven’t noticed this, maybe because I reflexively use Cmd-click to jump to a symbol’s definition. I mostly use Open Quickly only to find things in system frameworks, where there is no accessible definition. If I do use it on one of my own symbols and it takes me to the declaration, I can just Cmd-click that to go to the definition.

Not saying your statement isn’t valid; but maybe the above offers a workaround (especially since a surprising number of people don’t seem to know about Cmd-click and Option-click, so maybe you didn’t either.)
