Compiler complains about Cocoa Touch Static Library right after Xcode creates it.

I create a new project of that type and Xcode immediately flags it
with an error saying:

"target specifies product type
'com.apple.product-type.framework.static', but there's no such product
type for the 'iphoneos' platform"

Anybody know what gives here?  Thanks.
