Hi,
I had similar issues with the Lion and the earlier versions of Mountain Lion, but the latest version is much more stable although it still crashes in Safari and playing movies every once in a while. The problem is related to the full screen facility that was introduced in Lion - I have 4 monitors and it seemed to aggravate the problem.
