IB won't let me set view height

I have a storyboard with a UINavigationController stack (series of scenes).

For some reason, IB has made a lot of these very tall.

I selected one of the views, and tried to change its height to 600. IB adjust the height down, but always adds 64 pixels.

Any idea why?
