Xcode 5 and user defined macros?

Is it me or is Xcode 5 no longer supporting user defined macros in build settings? I got a couple from a project created under Xcode 4.6.2. They show up, but they don’t seem to work. In addition, maybe I’m dumb but I can’t see any way to create additional macros.

What am I missing?
