Profiler Questions

Hi,

I have a couple of questions on the profiler.

I have the normal “iPad” (non-retina or 64 Bit) select as my target simulator. When I “run” the app, runs it on the correct iPad Simulator, however, whenever I use “Profile” or “Profile…”, the profiler always opens with the retina iPad selected. Is there anyway to make them both use the same Simulator?

When I’m running my app under the profiler on a real iPad 2, it runs fine for a while, then the UI becomes unresponsive and I can’t continue. The profiler shows the app happily running, but not doing anything since I can’t start another test via the UI. I initially start the test via the UI and while the test is running I can use the UI and kick off others tests, but as soon as all the tests have finshed and the app is idling again, the UI dies. Any ideas on what could be happening to cause this would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anyway to get the log output on a separate window? It would be really useful to see the log as I’m looking at the instrument detail display.

I must say, the Profiler is an excellent tool.

All the Best
Dave
