Also, as this is mostly a code issue, I'd probably post it to email@hidden instead of xcode users. :) At least until a dedicated email@hidden comes along... Which I suspect we'll see when Yosemite comes out, along with the official OS X 10.10/iOS 8 SDKs and Xcode 6 release.
Not sure as I expect that. I can’t recall when a new list was added to that creaking infrastructure. It was, anecdotally, all saved from the scrapheap just mere months ago and ‘devforums’ are the promoted go-to place for discussion. There’s a Swift forum over there, it’s not the worst but there’s a lot of chaff from the beginners and the language purists and a few kernels of wheat you have to sift for. It is one of the forums which has a number of Apple employees reading and replying as part of the ongoing language comprehension and development process and if you are interested in Swift it’s worth the 20 minutes to day to wade through, many of the other lists there I find it harder to get much out of. Mailing lists seem to discourage too much chaff and the forums format I think is harder to follow in general, or perhaps I’m just that old my brain learned to process discussion that way and can’t change.
Taking the very first line under the title from http://developer.apple.com/swift .. “Swift is an innovative new programming language for Cocoa and Cocoa Touch.”. I think the cocoa dev list is a very appropriate mailing list for Swift language discussion.
