Changing Mac developer Agent

Apologies if this is the wrong list.

I have a Mac developer ID created several years ago using my work email as ID.  This email address will become invalid next year.  I also have corresponding certs (as Agent) generated via Xcode and a signed app, with many users, distributed outside of the App store.

I would like to change this Agent ID to my primary (home) Apple ID before the former expires but the corresponding web page at Mac Dev Center says that the latter is unavailable as a dev ID because it is already being used (by me!)

How can I change Agent IDs and transfer the certs correctly?
