Sounds like a bug in Xcode's text editor. File a bug report with Apple; they'll probably want you to attach a copy of the source file.

My only guess is that there might be some hidden control characters in the file somewhere. Sometimes those can mess up some editors. Have you tried the "Show Invisibles" command?
