Please make sure to file a bug report to describe what your SCM layout / setup is like, and how you'd like for it to all work out. I'm assuming that you're on Xcode 6.1.1?
I can do that, but I'd like to get some answers/help sooner than three months from now (which seems to be the usual turnaround time with bug reports.)I'm still trying to figure out whether this is a bug or just some feature I'm misunderstanding. Partly because I make very limited use of Xcode's SCM integration, which seems to have its own notion of "nested workspaces" that sort of aligns with submodules but not exactly; I don't want it screwing up my submodules so I don't use any part of Xcode's SCM that might mess with that.
Clearly the Xcode bot does know about git submodules, because it's locating them and resetting them to specific revisions. It's just that they're the _wrong_ revisions. And I have no idea how it decided which revisions to check out. Is it related to something in the Xcode SCM configuration in the project file?
