Since upgrading from 10.7.5 to 10.9.1 I can't get Xcode to run. It starts to load then 3 seconds later aborts. No crash notification in Finder. I used migration manager, thinking of making a clean install but that will mean many many hows of manual installs of apps and mail folders etc (did it when I installed Lion).

I don't use Xcode (mainly use Quartz Composer Editor which is now a separate download) a whole lot but not sure where to start solving this. Would like to solve without having to clean install Mavericks.

You’ll probably need/want to upgrade to Xcode 5.0.2 (or a more recent beta). Maybe you did that already, but it sounds like you migrated an older Xcode 4.x.

Some people do run into issues with Xcode 5 crashing or guzzling CPU time at first, but getting to a recent version would be a good start.
