I don’t quite understand all of what you said, but the answer is probably somewhere in Apple’s document named “Dynamic Library Programming Topics”, which is currently here…

Maybe the framework is being stripped?  The nm tool is handy for listing which symbols are exported…

nm -gm /path/to/MyFramework.framework/MyFramework
