OH! If you have the QuickTime Player 7 and a pro serial number, you can press command U and open the URLs directly, then just save them.
But I'm just suspecting that you had to log in to the Dev portal first in Safari and DL the vids that way.

Based on another posting, I dug around in the page source and found URLs to the pdfs: http://devstreaming.apple.com/videos/wwdc/2014/402xxgg8o88ulsr/402/402_introduction_to_swift.pdf?dl=1
Couldn't get the videos to play, though I hoped they might, and the .mov suffix caused that hope to soar for a bit. About all they did was chew up band-width.
I can work with this, though.
Hiking a few miles to the library and back in 100 degree F (according to the bank near the capitol), 80%+ humidity can do wonders to vent frustrations.
