Update: I have a clone of this project and dependent projects, which I use for submitting issues to DTS if I have build problems that cannot be reproduced in a “small” demo project. I have not updated that clone in several weeks.
Since no one seems to know the answer here, I zipped up that clone, copied it to a different Macintosh user account, and tried my xcodebuild command on it. Result: Same failure, cannot find that “.d” file.
So it appears to be something wrong with the developer tools on this Mac? Dare I reinstall Xcode?
