I believe that David was referring to the font size in the navigators in Xcode. That's at least what I was responding to...
It sounds like you're talking about something else, something about your own application? For the most part you're free to do whatever you want with fonts in your own apps. If this is to do with your own application, this would probably also be a question better suited for the Developer Forums, or the cocoa-dev mailing list, as this mailing list is for questions about the Xcode developer tools suite.
