Limiting search scope in XC6

When I enter a search term in the search field in a Cocoa OSX project in Xcode 6.0.1, I'm getting many "unwanted" results in unrelated files, in addition to the desired results in my files. It finds matches in files named .packlist, 4.pl, acinclude.m4, DAge.txt, keywords.h, FTP.pm, perldebug.pod, perlipc.pod, Ping.pm, Remote.pm, Usage.pm, and on and on.

I’ve never seen this behavior before. How can I limit the search scope? I've tried editing "My Scope" to be "Location is withing workspace".
