Auto Layout Illegal Configuration error

Xcode 6.0.1, on OSX 10.9 building for 10.6.8
How can I resolve the following Xcode error?
Illegal Configuration
Auto Layout on OS X prior to 10.7
MainMenu.xib
If I double-click on the warning (in the left column) it brings up:
MainMenu.xib > MainMenu.xib (base) > Menu
I’ve gone through every element of the GUI and menu, but “Use Auto Layout” is unchecked for all.
Is there some way to find out which element it’s referring to?
