OS X Swift development?

  • Subject: OS X Swift development?

Xcode 6.0.1 (6A317).

I think my Xcode is really broken. I just tried to start a new OS X app project, and I figured I'd use Swift. But Xcode didn't offer me any Swift option in the Document App template, and once again, my IB palette only shows iOS widgets (EDIT: closing all projects (there was an iOS project open), quitting Xcode, then opening the OS X project re-enabled the OS X widgets).

But I have no Swift-based project templates, and worse, I don't seem to be able to create a new Swift source file.

Am I required to have Yosemite installed for this? Xcode 6.1?
