I’ve now got a project that eveytime I open it it hangs XCode. I’ve forced quit XCode and tried to re-open but it hangs each time I try it?
I haven’t had this problem, but I’ve definitely had trouble with projects that crash Xcode when they open. (Xcode 6.x is by far the crashiest app I’ve used in a long time; it bombs probably about once or twice a day on average. I can only hope the devs are looking carefully at the incoming crash logs.)
Anyway. When a project crashes on open, it’s probably something corrupt in its per-user state. The fix is to delete that state, which is stored inside the project bundle, in project.xcworkspace/xcuserdata/. If that doesn’t work, try also deleting the top-level xcuserdata/ directory.
