OK, thanks for sparing me pursuing the "dual framework" idea any further.

I’m toying with Sparkle 1.5b for everybody rather than twin targets. I dislike the latter option since all the other code is compatible. However, I’ll have to look more closely into what I lose by dropping Sparkle 1.11 and whether it matters much (I’m thinking not, but I’m not sure yet).
