Xcode 7.0.1 on El Capitan?

  • Subject: Xcode 7.0.1 on El Capitan?

I have Xcode 7.0.1 on my machine, running 10.10.5. I was wondering if upgrading to 10.11.x would require me to upgrade Xcode to 7.1.x. Being in a place with poor, expensive internet access, I don't want to have to download multiple gigabytes to upgrade Xcode if I can wait until I get to somewhere where it would be feasible, unless it is absolutely required. And even if it were required, I would probably then keep 10.10.5 and put 10.11.x on an external disk for testing until I can do all the upgrades.
