Code completion is pretty instantaneous on my old 2009 MBP with 8GB RAM. Occasionally Xcode will spin out trying to find completions for typos or other errors (even on my iMac with 24GB RAM).


I’d guess if it’s a regular delay, try reinstalling Xcode. Dread of dreads, could even be an installer file permissions problem.
