Argh. Something has gotten out of sync on my 10.9.5 iMac, for now when I attempt to launch Xcode 6.1.1 I get an App Store alert panel saying “Xcode is being updated. Xcode can not be opened while it is being updated.” Hmm, there are no updates going on or pending. No network activity. App Store wasn’t running.

How can I run Xcode again? I hope I don't have to download/install the whole thing again. Surely there must be some bit/flag/file that can be cleared?
-Carl
