Is there a utility I can run that would reformat it so all comment lines are a sensible width?

You could just enable the Xcode option to wrap lines. (In preferences somewhere. And when it wraps, it adds indentation, so it works reasonably well for long lines of code...)

Totally. I couldn't work without having wrap lines turned on. Since not everybody has the same size monitors, it just doesn't make sense to force lines to wrap by hitting return when you get to the end of what you think is the right length. Let the computer do it for you. It's smart.

I think that having line-wrap enabled is worse than scrolling long lines, but thanks anyway. I limit comment lines to around 120 characters with the default XCode font.

I think I’ll knock up a quick and dirty tool to do it over the weekend.

Cheers
Dave
