Sorry, I didn’t read what you said properly, and thought you meant inside strings.
If you want to use them as syntactic elements, then I think you need to join the modern age and leave your Monaco fetish behind.
OTOH, it may not matter. I predict you’ll voluntarily ditch the whole idea in under 3 weeks. (I’m extrapolating. I gave up on trying to use a ‘pi’ symbol after about 2 hours.)
