Just tried setting up Xcode 6.4 downloaded from the dev site on with the OS X server 4.1.5 on OS X 10.10.4.
So, I download the combo installer for 10.10.4 and install.
And I download Xcode 6.4 and install. (6E35b)
Of course the notes on developer.apple.com/osx/download state that the server version 4.1.5 will work with 10.10.4, but the Mac App store won't even let you download it unless you run 10.10.5.
Issue #1.
So, I download the combo installer for 10.10.5 and install and them am able to download OS X Server version 4.1.5 from the Mac App store, install the Server and run it.
Can't turn on the Server for Xcode. It keeps asking me to OK the Xcode license and keeps launching Xcode, where I assume it's asking for a license.
Issue #2.
There is no license to OK in Xcode 6.4. I already agreed to it when I launched the app at the first run.
So, I make sure I have the latest command line tools installed and make sure I agree to the license with xcodebuild -license.
Still can't turn on Xcode server.
I look at the logs for the server manager setup.
Xcode server thinks that Xcode is in quarantine. Is this issue #3? Because I have Gatekeeper turned off. And issue #4 of Xcode server reporting the wrong error message that is preventing the app from starting.
A quick test reveals that yeah, it's the quarantine that stopped Xcode server from starting up.
Is there a setting in the Xcode that's downloaded from the developer site that causes it to be quarantined?
Searching the forums reveal an openradar about this and many other people running into this as well.
The checksum on Xcode_6.4.dmg verifies. Why is it getting put into quarantine?
