Codesigning is still very strange. A couple weeks ago I added a UI Test target to a project whose “Code Signing Identity” is “Don’t Code Sign” at the project level, with no settings on any targets. (The app product is signed later, when my shipping script invokes `codesign`.). I added a UI Test target recently and found it would not build unless I set “Code Signing Identity” at the target level to something – I used “Automatic > Mac Developer”. Today, out of curiosity, I removed that target-level build setting so that it resolves to “Don’t Codesign”. And, for some strange reason, today, it works this way.
