does anyone else in here use carthage?
what are the experiences?

I like the idea but the implementation (as in developer/user experience) is still horrible IMO.

1. I've spent way too much time on rebuilding dependencies that did not change at all.
2. Manually maintaining the "carthage copy-frameworks" build phase is a PITA.
3. Lot's of projects that are available with cocoapods but who don't have proper carthage support yet.
4. Releases are only supported from github (decentralized - go figure. see issues #722 #1308)
5. Not a fan of the attitude of the devs when reporting problems and suggestions for improvements.

Next project I probably go back to cocoapods - or a bash script to checkout and build the deps FWIW.

I would love to be a fan of carthage but feel rather let down.

cheers,
Torsten
