Hi all. i'm migrating some crusty old code into a proof of concept before I start setting up framework and dependency resolution for an iOS project.
In that, I just copied and pasted a folder full of other folders and files from one project into the new one, then I dragged the folder into the Project Navigator and Xcode 7 did a wonderful job of adding as the folders as groups as expected. The contents of this folder are all below the top level project folder and the .xcodeproj file.
I'm using a local git repo for this proof of concept.
Tthis action results in about a few hundred files being added to the project. I'd like to add them to the repo. It appears that Xcode can't see all the files that have have no source control status if you select a group folder that has other group folders within it and then one of these group folders has the files that aren't in git. Apparently, you have to right click on the group folder that holds the files that need to be added.
If I select the Commit straight from the Source Control menu, I get a few pages of files, each with a little unchecked check box to the left of it. I'd like to not have to manually do this one at a time
I've got several hundred files here, all split up over too many folders. How, using Xcode's UI, do I add all of these files to the git repo? Is there any option?
Is it best to simply use the command line?
Thanks
