I just downloaded out team's Distro cert for iOS, installed it in the keychain and exported it. I made this about 2 weeks back and it expires on Jan 26, 2017. But, this team distro cert says that it has an invalid issuer, which is Apple Worldwide Developer Relations.
Well, presumptively you created it on Jan 26, at which time the WWDR certificate was still valid, and you’d have had nothing to tell you at that time to do anything different.
So, yes, you needed to recreate certificates that depended on WWDR.
Actually, no. I didn't. As least I don't think so. All I did was delete the expired WWDRCA cert that was in the System keychain.
After doing that, all my red certificates that perviously were issued from an invalid issuer turned green and were valid.
Right after that, I clicked Try Again in the export dialog and exported the iOS app with the Ad-Hoc profile successfully.
It's a fun world. : /
Thanks for your time and help, man. Certificates are love. Certificates are life.
