I believe “deleting” constraints from the inspector is really just uninstalling them from the respective object. You can see this by clicking the greyed out constraint and selecting “install” - it should reappear back on the object you had deleted it from. However, if you click the constraint in the storyboard or the Document Outline you can delete it (and not just remove it from an object). The advantage here is you can remove a constraint while testing something out and then quickly add it back in.
